About GÖCKEL
Gustav Göckel Maschinenfabrik GmbH is a medium-sized mechanical engineering company founded in 1883 in Darmstadt and a manufacturer of precision surface grinding machines, including machines for two-sided grinding such as the model G65PL. The Göckel system with a movable grinding head and stationary workpiece enables high grinding accuracy even for large workpieces. With an in-house production share of over 65 %, the company manufactures key components itself — through welding, turning, milling, flame cutting, motor manufacturing and painting — and produces around 130 machines per year. The machines serve industries such as steel, paper and pulp, graphite, plastics, leather, food, glass, ceramics, medical, wood, recycling, mechanical and tool engineering as well as grinding shops. From its headquarters in Darmstadt, with an export share of approx. 70 %, deliveries are made to 174 countries, supported by service centers in the USA and Thailand.
