Engineering culture for industrial thermal management since 1922
GWA Gesellschaft für Wärme- und Anlagentechnik mbH is a Berlin-based engineering company with roots dating back to 1922, specialized in industrial cooling systems and thermal engineering. The company plans, manufactures and supplies circulating cooling systems, air-to-water coolers for high-voltage motors, bearing oil coolers, shell-and-tube heat exchangers (including element and special heat exchangers), air heaters, oil systems, heat pipe and recuperator systems as well as pumps, reservoir and expansion tanks, cooling towers, air coolers and water treatment systems. Core competencies include heat exchanger redesign, dimensionally identical 1:1 replacement of coolers including reconstruction from measurement data without original documentation, and retrofitting of existing drive systems through R³ engineering. From technical project management through manufacturing to commissioning and on-site installation, complete cooling systems and heat recovery systems are realized. GWA coolers are operated in more than 25 countries by more than 50 operators; the company is DIN EN ISO 9001 certified.
