About GWID
GWID – Georg Wanker Industrial Design is a design studio based in Graz that has been active in the field of industrial design, product development and design engineering for around 20 years. The studio accompanies products from the initial idea through the concept phase to development-ready implementation, seeing itself as a specialist in product language: the deliberate shaping of a product's form, haptics and character. Reference projects include mechanical and electronic locking systems for EVVA, an electrodynamic testing machine, a high-precision profile measuring device, wearables for motorcyclists and sports, a stackable tubular steel chair, and consumer-oriented products such as shavers, hair trimmers and avalanche transceivers. GWID operates as an office/studio and serves manufacturers from industry, sports, medical and safety technology, and consumer goods. Managing director and founder is Georg Wanker.
