About H.E.A.T.
H.E.A.T. Energie-Software GmbH develops energy management software (EMS) and the plant controller HEAT PPC EMS for industrial battery and microgrid systems. The software controls battery storage, photovoltaics, wind, diesel and gas generators, heat pumps, charging infrastructure, and metering and switching technology, and connects these to grid operators and marketing platforms via Modbus TCP/IP, RTU, REST, MQTT and IEC 60870-5-104/101. It enables grid market services such as aFRR, mFRR, FCR and FFR, backup and islanding operation, as well as on-site electrical and thermal optimization; the inverter response time is below 150 ms for FFR services. The controller runs locally on industrial PCs (Advantech, RevPi, Phoenix Contact) and is developed in Rust. The founding team brought over a decade of experience from Qinous GmbH, which was acquired by Rolls-Royce Power Systems in 2022. Customers include EPCs, independent power producers and distributors in industry, utility-scale, off-grid island grids and data centers. Located in Berlin.
