About Duplo composite shoes
H. Frank Kunststofftechnik GmbH develops and manufactures composite horseshoes and pure plastic shoes for horses under the Duplo brand, along with an extensive range of accessories for hoof care professionals. The product range includes composite shoes with and without side caps, models with profile and threaded inserts, weld-on lifts, glue tabs for nailless shoeing, anti-slip products such as spikes and studs, as well as tools, horseshoe nails, hoof knives and care series. The shoes consist of a plastic shell around a metal core; various plastic hardness grades are used, as well as a variant made of 100% recycled plastic (regranulate). The product range is based on the composite shoe developed by founder Hubert Frank, a farrier. Production takes place in-house in Grainet in the Bavarian Forest, with as many manufacturing steps as possible carried out in-house; studs are turned and hardened in the company's own facility. Shoe sizes range from the pony shoe (from approx. 50 mm) to the draft horse horseshoe (up to approx. 198 mm). Products are sold internationally via an own online shop with worldwide shipping as well as through sales partners; the products are supported by professional advice, training courses and a certification course program with the NBvH.
