About H. Geiger
H. Geiger GmbH Stein- und Schotterwerke was founded in 1929 by Hermann Geiger sen. in Pfraundorf an der Altmühl and is today a provider specialized in rock extraction and processing of natural stone products in southern Germany. From its own quarries and pits in the Frankenalb region, dolomites, limestones, sandstones, gravels and natural sands are extracted and processed in several crushed-stone plants into crushed sands, premium chippings, chipping and crushed stone mixes, hydraulic engineering armourstone, mineral base courses and base courses for DB railway tracks. In addition, the company produces asphalt mix at the Pfraundorf site and, in natural stone processing, manufactures products for landscaping such as paving stones, gabions, wall stones and facing bricks. The offering is complemented by an in-house operating laboratory for construction materials testing, a class DK 0 construction debris landfill, backfilling services and its own fleet for freight logistics. The company employs around 280 staff and is the parent company of the GEIGER GRUPPE with approximately 500 employees; headquarters are in Kinding/Pfraundorf.
