About H. Herder Messer
H. Herder is a traditional Solingen company that has been dedicated since 1928 to the manufacture of high-quality cutlery under the Tukan® brand. The range comprises over 200 products: chef's, bread and Santoku knives, hump (Buckels) and breakfast knives, kitchen and household knives as well as professional slaughtering and butcher knives from the ProfiGrip series. The blades are hand-forged, or in the case of the forged Eterno collection made from a single piece of stainless steel, and are subsequently sharpened by hand honing, finely ground and polished. The blade material is rust-free alloyed specialty steel; handles are made of plastic (PPN, dishwasher-safe) or wood such as olive, beech, ice beech, walnut, smoked oak or steamed plum wood. In addition to the online shop for end consumers, the company offers B2B services such as promotional knives with a company logo. Production takes place exclusively in Solingen.
