Mechanical and plant engineering for the wood industry
H.I.T. Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG develops, designs and implements machines, plants and automation solutions for the wood industry. The focus is on sawmill technology with resaw systems of the NSM and KSM series as well as edging machines of the ASM type, on planing lines including destacking, infeed and strength grading, on automatic picking and storage systems, and on glulam technology for glulam (BSH), cross-laminated timber (BSP) and multi-layer panels with the patented ligneoPRESS press system. As a system integrator, the company covers the complete scope of services: project engineering, mechanical design and control technology, manufacturing and assembly, commissioning and training, as well as service, maintenance, spare parts and remote support. The registered office and production facility is located in Ettringen near Memmingen. As of 1 January, H.I.T. was fully integrated into the WEINIG Group; the management was reorganized. Reference projects such as the fully automatic sorting and stacking system at Bettega Legnami in Italy demonstrate the company's international project work.
