About H&R
Headquartered in Hamburg, the H&R Group has been developing and producing petroleum-based specialties such as white oils, paraffin waxes, petrolatum, base oils, process oils and plasticizers, as well as cable filling compounds and wax emulsions, since 1919. Around 800 products are manufactured in the specialty refineries Hamburg-Neuhof (H&R Ölwerke Schindler) and Salzbergen as well as at international production sites, and distributed to more than 100 industries, including pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, the tire and plastics industry, the construction materials industry and marine propulsion. In addition to in-house production, H&R offers toll manufacturing, filling and storage as well as accredited chemical-physical testing; a hydrogen extraction and filling facility is also operated at the Salzbergen site. In its smaller Plastics business unit, the Group manufactures precision plastic parts and matching injection molds for automotive suppliers and medical technology. H&R GmbH & Co. KGaA is listed on the stock exchange; sales are handled by Hansen & Rosenthal and a worldwide network of sales and production sites.
