About H2range
H2range GmbH develops and builds compact hydrogen fuel cell systems for Micro Commercial Vehicles (MCV) such as cargo bikes as well as for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV/drones). The core element is an air-cooled fuel cell stack that, thanks to its simple design, is cost-efficient, extremely compact and reliable: the 1.6-kW stack weighs around 1350 grams, and a 3.2-kW stack was demonstrated in a drone with 90 minutes of flight time. As a plug-and-play solution, the company offers a complete system in which system control, mounting points and housing are individually adapted to the transport vehicle. H2range was founded in 2020 as a spin-off of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and is based in the Avantis European Science and Business Park in Aachen. The portfolio also includes consulting on technology, refuelling, financing and funding, flexible financing models such as pay-per-service, custom-made housings, a certified refuelling solution via a partner network, as well as stack exchange with second-life use and recycling at the end of the life cycle.
