Family business since 1909
Haaner Felsenquelle staatl. anerkannte Heilquelle GmbH is an owner-managed mineral spring in Haan in the Bergisches Land and has been in operation since 1909. The company draws natural mineral water from two springs at depths of up to 210 metres and bottles it directly at the spring site. Two own brands are maintained: the carbonated Haaner Felsenquelle and the still, low-sodium Bergische Waldquelle, which is suitable for preparing infant formula. The range also includes schorles, lemonades, fruit juice drinks, low-calorie beverages and a state-recognized medicinal water. Bottling is done in reusable glass bottles (0.25 to 1.0 l), PETCYCLE reusable bottles and one-way PET bottles (up to 1.5 l). In addition, the company offers contract bottling for third-party product ideas, from concept to implementation. The production facility completed in 2000 was built as a low-energy building and awarded the Environmental Prize of the District of Mettmann, and was later supplemented with a photovoltaic system. The products are distributed regionally, predominantly in the Bergisches Land.
