Precision in steel and aluminium

HABA AG was founded in 1966 in Uster/ZH as a family business and is a specialist in the finishing of mill-finished steel and aluminium plates. The company, with around 200 employees at six sites in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic and Austria, produces custom plate cuttings, XXL plates, shaped parts (flame cutting, waterjet, plasma and laser cutting), Decoplate as well as ready-to-install components and welded frames. Core competencies include contract annealing in process-controlled, in-house annealing furnaces, contract straightening, contract milling (aluminium up to 2'800 x 5'000 mm, thickness tolerance +/- 0.05 mm), contract grinding with cross-grind finish and contract sawing. Production takes place in Pfäffikon/ZH and Sudoměřice (CZ); further production and sales sites are Herrenberg (DE), Azzano San Paolo (IT) and Wiener Neudorf (AT); administration is located in Cham/ZG. Customers include machine building, apparatus engineering, jig and fixture making, toolmaking and mould making as well as the aerospace industry; HABA supplies approx. 7'000 active customers with around 80'000 orders per year, mostly within 24–48 hours from its own semi-finished goods warehouse.
