About Herr Walter

Hafen Event UG (haftungsbeschränkt) operates the club and event ship "Herr Walter" at Dortmund Harbour. The ship was launched in 1901 in Rathenow on the Havel, served for several decades as a barge on European rivers and canals, and was extended by 14 metres in the 1970s. It is approximately 60 metres long and 6 metres wide and has been moored since 2011 at its berth at Speicherstraße 90 as a converted cargo barge. The venue offers a club and bar on board the ship, sun decks with rain-proof, optionally heated tents, as well as a beach-like forecourt with a large lounge tent, and accommodates approximately 20 to 700 people depending on seating. Private parties, weddings, corporate events and photo shoots are offered, along with a regular programme of parties, live music, readings and football broadcasts; catering and event technology are implemented with partners. The office is located at Tremoniastraße 22 in Dortmund.
