The House of Hafner is a family-run winery in Mönchhof in Burgenland (Austria). According to the company, the family can look back on a viticulture tradition dating back to 1217. The estate produces organic and kosher wines and has been the first and only kosher wine producer in Austria in the Sheva Kehillos region since 1980. The range includes red and white wines (including Pinot Noir and Zweigelt), cuvées aged in barrique barrels, Muscat varieties, sweet wines such as ice wine made from Furmint, sparkling wine (Frizzante), grape juice and spirits such as Weinbrand XO. The wines are sold through the company's own online shop, with free shipping in Austria and EU-wide shipping; several products have been awarded prizes at AWC Vienna and The Drinks Business. According to the company's own account, the first ice wine of Burgenland was vinified at Hafner; the estate has committed itself to the path of organic winemaking.
