Hager & Werken is a family-owned dental company founded in Duisburg in 1946 and now managed by the fourth generation of the Hager family. The company has positioned itself as a specialist in dental specialties and develops, manufactures and distributes its own products for dentistry and dental technology – from single-use injection needles and electrosurgery devices to prophylaxis products and the back-friendly Bambach saddle seat, which is manufactured in Duisburg. The former focus on importing dental products has given way to a largely own product portfolio that is exported to dental trade dealers in over 100 countries. The offering includes areas such as impression taking, suction, periodontology, surgery, injection and application, implantology as well as ergonomic seating solutions and an extensive in-office and home-care prophylaxis range. Through the exclusive distribution of Dentsply Sirona's Cavitron devices in Germany and Austria and the subsidiaries Hager Pharma GmbH (pharmacy market, since 2008) and HBI Health & Beauty International (drugstore and food retail), the portfolio extends beyond the dental sector. The company's headquarters is a roughly 6,000 m² office and warehouse building in Duisburg-Großenbaum.
