About halec
halec is a development company specialized in microcontrollers, based in Dreieich (Hesse). Since 1998, the company has been developing hardware and software related to microcontrollers and manufactures the roloFlash product line of mobile in-circuit programmers with which microcontrollers can be flashed directly on site without a PC – in production and small series, at assemblers and external manufacturers, in service and field operations, as well as in R&D, test laboratories and training. The programmers support STM32 as well as Microchip/Atmel AVR controllers, among others, via JTAG, SWD, ISP, TPI, PDI, UPDI and aWire. Core features are error-free operation without buttons, automatic controller detection, script control via roloBasic, encryption (AES, HMAC) as well as protective circuits such as ESD, reverse-polarity and overvoltage protection. The devices are housed in aluminum enclosures, and the software runs without installation under Windows and Linux. In addition, halec offers individual adaptations of the roloFlash variants, consulting on flash and provisioning processes, firmware updates and free support. References include Conox GmbH, manufacturer of mechatronic locking systems, as well as a customer from electronics series manufacturing.

Quality
The programmers feature reverse-polarity, overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuit protection as well as ESD protection on all lines; encryption (AES, HMAC), checksums and limited programming operations secure the process.
