About us
Halfmann Maschinenbau was founded in 1970 and operates at its site in Neusäß near Augsburg in the manufacture of highly precise turned and milled parts. Core competencies include the production of rollers for web-guiding applications, shafts, and complementary parts such as flanges and housings for special machinery and plant engineering. The contract manufacturing portfolio includes CNC and conventional turning (up to Ø 650 mm, turning lengths up to 3800 mm), milling (3- and 5-axis, X up to 3000 mm), cylindrical and surface grinding, straightening and balancing, welding (MIG, MAG, TIG, electrode) as well as surface treatment and heat treatment. A particular focus is the machining of difficult-to-machine materials such as stainless steels, duplex steels, nickel/chromium alloys (Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy) and titanium. Customer industries include packaging manufacturing, plastics and paper processing, plant engineering, chemicals, industrial gases and hydrogen, as well as special machinery construction and automation. 100% of production takes place in Germany, from single parts to large series.

Quality
Tolerances are checked along the entire process chain: an optical Keyence 3D measuring device ensures tolerances in the micrometer range, supplemented by a height gauge and conventional measuring equipment. A roller test stand enables runout requirements down to 1/100 on parts up to 3 m in length and Ø 700 mm.
