About HamBauLab
HamBauLab is an engineering office for building materials investigation based in the Hamburg district of Sasel. Owner Dipl.-Ing. Oliver Joers has been running the building materials laboratory and engineering office since 2016 and has been active in the investigation of building materials for around twenty years, previously among other things as laboratory manager of a team of up to almost ten people. The range of services includes building diagnostics, building materials testing, construction chemistry, building physics and building biology as well as investigative damage analysis of structural damage and construction defects. The services range from preparing quotations and on-site investigations with sampling and analyses in the company's own laboratory through to the final expert report including repair concepts and refurbishment recommendations. Proven, professionally sound investigation methods are applied in compliance with relevant standards, regulations and pertinent specialist literature; experienced cooperation partners are brought in where required. The main area of activity is Hamburg and northern Germany; on request, the office also works throughout Germany and in other European countries. Reference projects include, among others, the Alster Swimming Hall, the first Peute Bridge and investigations in Hamburg's HafenCity.
