Hammer Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH is a family-owned company founded in 1990 and based in St. Egidien (Saxony), specialising in the purchase and sale of used, workshop-tested machine tools for the metalworking industry. Now run by the second generation, the company is regionally rooted and operates worldwide. Its range of services includes, in addition to used machinery trading, the sale of new machines (including lathes, drilling machines, metal band saws, belt grinding machines and hydraulic presses from manufacturers Optimum, Metallkraft, Alzmetall and OMCN), financing via hire purchase through its own leasing company, machine tool servicing by in-house technicians or service partners, spare parts procurement for WMW and Eastern European machines, and trade-in of surplus machines. The offering is complemented by trading in machine-specific accessories, retrofitting of digital position displays, transport brokerage with in-house forwarding services (trucks, tail lifts, loading cranes up to 10 t, low-loaders) and a documentation service from an extensive archive.
