Handelshaus Klein GmbH, based in Trostberg in Bavaria, is a manufacturer of switch programs and components for electrical installations. The product range includes the switch programs K55®, KLEIN K55® BB black® and BB white® as well as Klein SI® in alpine white and cream white, design glass frames made of safety glass, floor sockets, 50×50 universal inserts, flush/surface-mounted devices as well as wet-room systems, RCD sockets and accessories such as actuators, phase rails and intermediate frames. The plastic products are made from non-yellowing, shatterproof polycarbonate. Distribution channels are wholesalers and specialist retailers; the products are aimed at professional customers, electricians and electrical installers. Production takes place in Bavaria ("Made in Bavaria"). The company and warehouse locations are supplied with electricity by a 390-kW photovoltaic system; more than 10,000 trees have been planted on the company's own land.
