About us

Handwerk Handels GmbH is a family business founded in 1992, headquartered in Apolda (Thuringia), specialising in the furnishing of social facilities throughout Germany. The company manufactures contract furniture, children's and adult kitchens, children's furniture, play furniture, play platforms as well as furniture for office facilities, residential and care homes and student dormitories in its own production. Manufacturing is carried out using CNC-controlled woodworking and joining technology at a high technical and craft level; processed materials include E1- and FSC-certified decorative chipboard with the Blue Angel award (RAL-UZ 38), solid wood and synthetic leather. The service portfolio includes consulting and planning with 3D room vision and CAD drawings, sample production, manufacturing, project management, delivery as well as installation by in-house fitters, complemented by room acoustics consulting and installation of acoustic ceilings and wall panelling. Customers include daycare centres, schools, student services organisations, care homes, administrations of districts, counties and municipalities, churches, social associations and architects, including the Paritätischer Gesamtverband and the City of Hanover as framework agreement partners. Each year the company realises around 419 furnishing projects with a programme of more than 7,000 products.
