About the Hanneken Group
The Hanneken Group is an energy technology company founded in 1975 in Wachtum, today active in the northwestern German region with around 30 employees. Under the umbrella of Hanneken Haustechnik GmbH & Co. KG and Hanneken Energiesysteme GmbH & Co. KG, holistic heat solutions are offered, from consulting and planning through construction to ongoing operation. The core business comprises the planning and implementation of district and local heating networks including an in-house civil engineering department, the integration of biomethane-fuelled combined heat and power units, combined heat and power, large buffer storage tanks, heat pumps and photovoltaics. Customers include municipalities, industrial, commercial and private customers; a reference project is the award-winning energy village of Wachtum with its green electricity heating network. As a contractor, Hanneken also operates heating networks itself; in addition, the Hanneken engineering office provides engineering and subsidy consulting, and Vestanet GmbH handles biomethane trading. At the Lindern site (new building 2026), the Energiesysteme business division for industrial and commercial customers is located.

Founded as a two-man heating installation business by Helmut Hanneken and Bernhard Moormann in a warehouse in Wachtum.
- 1986
Helmut Hanneken obtains master craftsman qualification in plumbing, gas, water and sheet metal work; move to the current site in Wachtum, seven employees.
- 2000
25th company anniversary.
- 2006
Frank Hanneken (Dipl.-Ing. FH) joins the company; expansion into renewable energies.

Specialization in the construction of district and local heating networks; establishment of an in-house civil engineering department.
