About Hans G. Hauri KG Mineralstoffwerke
Hans G. Hauri KG Mineralstoffwerke, based in Bötzingen in the Kaiserstuhl region, was founded in 1964 as a classic crushed-stone plant and has since developed into a manufacturer of mineral special products. The company extracts the volcanic raw material phonolite in its own quarries and processes it using an exclusively employed grinding process into concrete admixtures (Hydrolith®), special cements (CEM II/B-Q, CEM IV/B-Q), special hydraulic binders for geotechnical/specialty foundation engineering (KÜMIX®, HAURI MICRO, FLOW&FILL®), asphalt fillers (Maxifill, Zeofill, Zeobit, Kalbit) as well as particle-size-optimized phonolite for the glass industry. Asphalt fillers have been produced since 1969. Further business areas are chromium(VI) reduction for cement manufacturers (CemProtector by Hauri), cavity filling including its own filling equipment and on-site personnel, as well as peloid technology with volcanic fango for health and wellness applications. Customers include renowned manufacturers of container glass and mineral wool in Germany, Switzerland and France. Locations exist in Bötzingen, Salzkotten and Merdingen.

Raw Materials & Processes
Phonolite (Hydrolith®, tempered natural pozzolans)
Volcanic raw material, latently hydraulic, approved as concrete addition Type II (k-value 0.6) and Type Q in the cement standard.
Phonolite for the glass industry
High Al₂O₃ content lowers melting energy and increases acid stability in container glass and glass wool.
Limestone (Carbolith®)
Limestone filler per EN 12620 as concrete addition Type I and basis for low-stiffening asphalt fillers.
Hydrated lime (Kalbit)
Improves bitumen quality in asphalt.
Portland cement clinker per EN 196
Component of the cavity filling mixture FLOW&FILL®.
Bentonite (KÜMIX® B)
Component of bentonite mixtures for geotechnics and foundation engineering.
Zeolite (Zeofill, Zeobit)
Mineral binder carrier for medium- to high-stiffening asphalt fillers.
Volcanic rock (natural fango)
Mineral-containing natural product for therapy and wellness applications.
