About Nobs

Hans Nobs & Cie AG is a Swiss family business founded in 1904 by Hans Nobs and headquartered in Münchenbuchsee near Bern. The company processes nuts, including hazelnuts from Piedmont, into hand-roasted products. The nuts are selected directly from the producers, shelled, slowly roasted without oil, and then manually sorted. The heart of production is a nearly hundred-year-old, 17-metre-long roasting oven in which the nuts are roasted on large metal swinging trays. Nuts sorted out during hand selection are further processed into nut oil, nut mouture and nut paste. Production takes place in the company's own over-hundred-year-old periodic building in Münchenbuchsee using a traditional, artisanal process without colourings, artificial flavours or preservatives.
