habermann trafo is the brand name under which the Pikatron Group develops, manufactures and supplies inductive components at the Lauchringen site – primarily large transformers and chokes. The product range includes power, control and encapsulated transformers, power chokes, power transformers, transducers, coils and wound products as well as feedthrough, signal, output and mains filters, power supply units and power supplies. The power ratings range from 0.5 VA to 500 kVA; in addition to standard products with UL approval, custom special solutions are developed, including individual housing designs and logistics requirements. The company was founded in 1964 by Hans-Otto Habermann and employs 32 staff. Following insolvency proceedings in 2020, the operation was taken over by Pikatron GmbH (Usingen) as of August 1, 2020 and continued with all employees. Customer industries include electrical engineering, electronics and industrial electronics; thanks to UL and CSA certification, the company has an international customer base.
