About BARBE

Hans W. Barbe Chemische Erzeugnisse GmbH is part of the BARBE Group of Companies, a German family-owned business that develops, produces and distributes processing aids for the polymer industry. The portfolio includes compound release agents (compound anti-tacks), extrusion and mold release agents, tire bead lubricants, lubricants for tire uniformity testing machines, and polymerization auxiliaries, manufactured under the PROMOL brand. In addition, the company offers dosing and automation technology such as the Dilution Control System DCS X4 and Dilution Panels for dispensing and diluting the products, as well as consulting on product and process solutions. The products are aimed at manufacturers of rubber compounds, elastomers and polymer materials, particularly in tire manufacturing and tire retreading. The group operates its own production plants on three continents; the German headquarters is located in Wiesbaden and the German production plant in Alzey (Rhineland-Palatinate).

Products and Processes

PROMOL

Compound release agents (Compound Anti-Tacks)

Release agents for unvulcanized rubber compounds, e.g. pigment-free or based on ultra-fine pigments.

PROMOL

Extrusion release agents

Applied to unvulcanized tread blanks after the cooling section, e.g. PROMOL 2811E for tire retreading.

PROMOL

Mold release agents

For single release before each press cycle, mold fouling is reduced.

PROMOL TU

Tire bead lubricants

Water-based lubricant such as PROMOL TU 4525/17 for mounting vulcanized tires on uniformity testing machines, free of silicones, soaps, solvents and oils.

PROMOL

Polymerization auxiliaries

Polymerization auxiliary chemicals for polymer production.

DCS X4

Dilution Control System

Automatic dosing system for diluting up to four target containers and for producing dispersions from powder products.

DP

Dilution Panel

Water-powered, electricity-free proportional dosing valve panel for simplified dilution of liquid concentrates.
