HANSA FINE CHEMICALS GmbH (HFC) was founded in 2002 as a spin-off of the University of Bremen and is an independent, research-driven chemistry company based at the BITZ technology center in Bremen. The company offers synthesis know-how in the fields of organic, heterocyclic, organophosphorus and organofluorine chemistry. Its service portfolio includes contract research, custom syntheses, process analysis and characterization, as well as up-scaling to kilogram quantities. A core area of expertise is the development of economical synthesis routes for complex partially fluorinated compounds as well as new reagents for selective fluorination and polyfluoroalkylation (including DAST, Deoxofluor, Selectfluor, HF/base systems, sulfur tetrafluoride). The product portfolio comprises over 10,000 fine chemicals such as fluorinated aromatics, amines, alcohols, acids and esters, heterocycles and specialty reagents. Customers come from the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and materials science industries; products are delivered worldwide with a CoA and an EU-compliant safety data sheet.
