About Hansa Press- und Maschinenbau
Hansa Press- und Maschinenbau GmbH (HPM) is a medium-sized mechanical engineering company from Hamburg founded in 1948, now led by Jan Rohde in the third generation. On a production area of 1300 m², the 45-strong team manufactures complex individual parts, small series, assemblies, fixtures, test rigs and special machinery. The value chain comprises 5-axis simultaneous milling, CNC and cycle-controlled turning, surface and cylindrical grinding, MIG/MAG and TIG welding, as well as the assembly of complete machines and systems including in-house metrology. Surface and heat treatments as well as gear cutting are handled through long-standing partners. A well-known product is the four-ball apparatus VKA-110 for lubricant testing, based on a development from the 1950s with Shell and manufactured for the lubricant industry. Customers come primarily from the lubricant industry and mechanical engineering; deliveries are ex works Hamburg (EXW).
