About Hanseatic Delifood

Hanseatic Delifood GmbH, based in Schenefeld near Hamburg, develops, produces and sells seafood products for the broad retail trade in the DACH region. Founded in 2009, the company is part of the Hanseatic Group and can look back on more than 15 years of experience in development, purchasing, production and sales. The product portfolio covers all relevant seafood categories – from fresh and frozen farmed salmon from Norway to shrimp, mussels and tuna fillet, as well as delicacies and marinades and fresh fish ready meals. With its own and affiliated production facilities in the USA and Europe (9 locations in total) and a worldwide production network of more than 2,500 employees, around 40,000 tonnes of fish are processed annually. The value chain is continuously integrated to maximise efficiency and sustainability. In addition to environmentally certified fishing, the company relies on sustainable packaging solutions such as MAP packaging, skin packaging and flat boards with a reduced plastic content.
