Hanseschicht GmbH, based in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg, specialises in the powder coating of large-format components. Founded in 2015 in Barsbüttel, the company coats workpieces up to 13.6 × 3.8 × 2.65 m and up to 5,800 kg in weight – from single parts and custom-made items through to series production. The service portfolio includes sandblasting with steel grit, garnet and glass bead mix in three separate cabins, powder coating, heavy-duty corrosion protection according to C5-H/CX, duplex coating (hot-dip galvanising plus powder coating), vehicle coating and wet painting. Customers come from industry, mechanical engineering, metal construction, vehicle manufacturing, the trades as well as the water and offshore sectors. Since 2020, Hanseschicht has been part of the Krebs corporate group and, as a full-service partner, additionally offers steel and metal construction, hot-dip galvanising, transport and assembly from a single source. In 2023, a heavy-duty coating line went into operation.

History
- 2015
Founded by Leon Hinz and Lennard Böhm in Barsbüttel near Hamburg; began with the refurbishment of rims and automotive parts.
- 2017
Opening of a second location in Mölln for commercial customers.

Doubling of the hall area in Mölln.

Cooperation with the Krebs corporate group; relocation of the site from Mölln to Wilhelmsburg (Hamburg).
