About HAPPICH
HAPPICH GmbH, based in Wuppertal, has been developing and manufacturing components and systems for commercial vehicles, special vehicles, rail vehicles, marine as well as mechanical and plant engineering since 1924. The product portfolio includes profiles, interior components, sun protection systems, closures and fittings, ceiling components, luggage rack and air duct systems, acoustic insulation and heavy-layer films. Manufacturing processes include plastic injection molding (60 to 1,300 t clamping force, parts from under one gram to 6,940 g), the P-DCPD-RIM process for large-surface body parts, fiber composite technology with GRP/CFRP (RTM, SMC, vacuum infusion, hand lay-up), profile and film extrusion, hot pressing and punching technology, hydroforming, die casting of aluminum and zinc, as well as assembly of subassemblies. The group employs around 530 people at 16 locations in Europe and Turkey and supplies more than 3,200 customers worldwide, including Europe, North and Latin America, Africa and Asia. Since 2010, HAPPICH has been part of Pelzer Swiss AG (Pelzer Family Company). The headquarters with R&D, purchasing, sales and administration is located in Wuppertal; production sites include Velbert, Braunschweig, Herrstein, Idar-Oberstein, Nýřany, Krapkowice, Adana and Spain.

Materials and Processes
P-DCPD (poly-DCPD, unfilled thermoset)
Highly impact-resistant thermoset for large-surface body and exterior cladding parts, processable at -40 to +130 °C.
Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP)
Basis for lightweight components in rail vehicle, mechanical and vehicle engineering.
Carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP)
Ultra-stiff lightweight components, among others manufactured by RTM and vacuum infusion.
SMC (Sheet Molding Compound)
Hot-pressed semi-finished products with high surface quality, low weight and high stiffness.
EPDM soft and foam rubber
Edge protection and sealing profiles, partly according to fire protection standard DIN EN 45545-2.
PVC
Extruded profiles and films for vehicle and construction applications.
Polyurethane (PU rigid foam)
Insulation and isolation components as well as acoustic solutions.
TPO
Used in molding technology for floor coverings.
Aluminum
Extrusion, die casting, microperforation and anodizing for functional and decorative profiles.
Zinc
Die casting for fittings and closure parts.
aluminized steel / stainless steel
Microperforation and dome forming of metal films, among others for acoustic applications.
mineral highly filled polyolefin film
Co-extruded insulation film, can be laminated with aluminum-metallized film, nonwoven or adhesive coating.
