Family business for machinery and mill construction since 1987
Hartgen GmbH Maschinen- und Mühlenbau is a family business founded in 1987, now run by the third generation, based in Hude, Lower Saxony. The mid-sized company with around 30 employees manufactures systems and components for bulk and unit load conveying, including trough chain conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, silo containers, BIG-BAG filling and emptying stations, micro-dosing systems as well as shut-off and dosing gates. In addition to conveying and dosing technology, Hartgen builds special machinery such as pallet turners, lifting tables and asphalt cannons. The value chain includes in-house design, steel and sheet metal fabrication with an NC-controlled sheet metal shear, press brake and plasma cutter, as well as welding using MIG/MAG, TIG, pulsed and stud welding processes. Materials processed include structural steels, wear-resistant steels, heat-resistant steels, duplex and rust- and acid-resistant stainless steels, as well as aluminium. The solutions are used, among others, in grain and feed processing and in the brick, food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Own assembly teams install and maintain the systems worldwide up to commissioning.
