About Hartmann Valves
Hartmann Valves GmbH is a family-owned company founded in 1946 and now run by the third generation, with locations in Burgdorf-Ehlershausen and Celle. The company manufactures metal-sealed, gas-tight specialty ball valves (including Twin Ball Valves and pigging valves), API 6A-compliant wellheads and API 7-1-compliant Kelly Valves. Design, assembly and testing take place exclusively at the German plants in Celle and Burgdorf-Ehlershausen. The products are designed for pressures up to 690 bar and temperatures from -200 to +550 °C and are made from steel, high-strength steels and nickel-based alloys; seat surfaces are hardfaced with tungsten or chromium carbide. Customers come from geothermal energy, oil and gas, energy transport, storage technology, chemicals/petrochemicals, power plant engineering, as well as the future fields of hydrogen, CO₂ (CCS/CCU), ammonia, oxygen and lithium production. Around 230 employees develop, assemble, test and service the components; a service location opened in 2026 in Mengkofen improves proximity to customers in southern Germany.
