About Hase Bikes
Hase Bikes (formerly Hase Spezialräder) is a German manufacturer of specialty bicycles based in Waltrop. The product range includes recumbent trikes, step-through tandems, cargo bikes, and rehab and therapy bikes for children, adolescents and adults. For most models, special equipment such as hand drives or individual rehab adaptations is available, enabling the bikes to be used for rehabilitation purposes. The company was founded in 1994 as a garage start-up in Bochum and moved in 2001 into a building of the former Zeche Waltrop colliery, where the Schaltwerk flagship store is also located today. With annual sales of around 1,400 specialty bikes, Hase Bikes is one of the leading providers in the recumbent bike segment. The bikes are mainly sold on the European and North American markets; together with the partner company EFBe Prüftechnik, technical test rigs for the bicycle industry are also developed and distributed worldwide.
