HAT Hummert Antriebstechnik GmbH, based in Landsberg am Lech, develops and produces drive components for industrial machinery. The product range includes eddy current brakes and eddy current couplings with direct torque transmission through electrodynamic force effects, highly elastic rubber shaft tyre couplings for connecting two shafts, and double-surface spring-applied brakes with large through-bore in the coil body for extreme shaft diameters. In addition, the company manufactures electromagnetic brakes, including for wind turbines, as well as an extensive supply programme of spare and wear parts for couplings and electrical accessories. The products are used in crane systems, passenger boarding bridges, textile machines, rope winches, wind turbines, test benches, as well as in medical ergometers and sports equipment.
