About Hauert
Hauert HBG Dünger AG, headquartered in Grossaffoltern in the Bernese Seeland, produces and distributes fertilizers for the professional and home garden sector. Founded in 1663 as a tannery, the company switched to producing organic fertilizers for horticulture in 1929. Production includes mineral, organic and organic-mineral fertilizers in solid and liquid form, as well as coated long-term fertilizers and methylene urea. Five proprietary technologies are available for processing: compactor, Granutec, pelleting, the Sphero process and coating. The portfolio of services includes its own testing and service laboratory for leaf, soil, compost, water and nutrient solution analyses as well as consultancy and maintenance concepts for sports facilities. In addition to its site in Switzerland, the company is present in Germany with its subsidiary Hauert MANNA Düngerwerke GmbH in Nuremberg and the organic fertilizer plant in Ammerbuch.

Raw Materials & Processes
Mineral fertilizers
Base materials such as ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulfate, urea, potassium magnesium sulfate and aluminum sulfate for mineral granulates and water-soluble fertilizers.
Organic fertilizers
Organic raw materials for the Biorga line, sourced locally and from renewable sources wherever possible.
Organic-mineral fertilizers
A combination of mineral and organic components, produced on the Sphero system.
Methylene urea
Urea condensate with long-term effect depending on chain length, produced in cooperation with Chemcom (Delfzijl).
Resin coating
Coating of long-term fertilizer granules for osmotically controlled nutrient release.
Dust-binding agent
Applied to compactates since 2005 to reduce dust emissions.
