About Hauert MANNA
Hauert MANNA Düngerwerke GmbH, based in Nuremberg, is the German subsidiary of the Swiss Hauert Group, which is owner-managed in its twelfth generation and looks back on a tradition of more than 360 years. The company develops and produces mineral, organo-mineral and biological fertilizers for agriculture, landscaping, ornamental plant and nursery cultivation, as well as for home and garden. At the center is in-house production with five fertilizer processing technologies: the compactor plant (since 1985), Granutec granulation (since 2017), the Sphero plant, two pellet presses for pelletizing, and the reactor process for the urea-condensate long-term fertilizer Tardit MU. Production is complemented by an in-house laboratory for analysis, plant analyses, field trials and the development of customized formulations including mixability testing with plant protection products. Raw materials include methylene urea, horn products, cattle manure, patentkali (potassium-magnesium sulfate), lime and plant-based amino acids; a considerable share of the raw materials comes from secondary sources. Products are distributed in Germany and Austria with comprehensive expert advice; the group site Hauert HBG Dünger AG is located in Grossaffoltern, Switzerland.

Materials & Processes
Granutec granulation
Layer-by-layer build-up of ground mineral fertilizer formulation with water into round, dust-free granules with uniform nutrient composition.
Compactor (roller press)
Production of low-dust mineral compacts by roller pressing, breaking and screening; operated since 1985.
Sphero granulation
Process for organic and organo-mineral fertilizers: dissolving, mixing and pressing through a perforated plate into cylindrical granules.
Pellet press/pelletizing
Two pellet presses for producing biological fertilizers in pellet form.
Methylene urea (urea condensate)
Nitrogen long-term fertilizer made from urea condensates dried and granulated in the reactor with staggered release.
Resin coating (coated long-term fertilizers)
Nutrient salts with a resin coating, whose nutrients are released osmotically and depending on temperature.
Horn grit/horn meal/horn shavings
Organic nitrogen raw materials for biological fertilizers.
Cattle manure
Organic raw material for the Greentime product line.
Patentkali (potassium-magnesium sulfate)
Raw material for potassium and magnesium fertilizers, among other things for supplementary lawn fertilization.
Lime
Raw material for garden and lawn lime products for soil improvement.
Amino acids (plant-based)
Basis of the Hauert AMINO line for biostimulant and nutritional effects under stress situations.
