About Hauler & Hermann
Hauler & Hermann GmbH is a family-run specialist company based in Filderstadt near Stuttgart that has been manufacturing and distributing insulation parts, punched, bent and formed parts as well as electrical insulating materials for the electrical industry since 1961. The product range includes slot insulation, cover boards, interlayer boards, phase separators, armature and field coil insulation, turn-to-turn insulation, slot closure wedges and special parts made to drawing. Production takes place on eccentric presses as well as punching and folding machines; six slitting machines convert roll material from 4 mm strip width or from 23 µm film thickness. The in-house toolmaking department with CNC turning, milling and grinding machines enables rapid implementation of new projects including tools; prototypes are produced from a quantity of 1. Materials processed include press-span, pressboard, Diamond Dotted Paper and film, polyester and polyimide films, aramid papers as well as laminates such as DMD, NPN and NKN. Customers come from electric motor, transformer and generator manufacturing, wind power, automotive, railway technology, medical technology and aerospace.

Materials and Processes
Press-span (cellulose)
Natural product made of cellulose fibers for transformer and electric motor manufacturing, insulation class A up to 105 °C.
Pressboard (press-span sheets) 1.0–6.0 mm
Rigid cellulose sheets for barriers, spacers and support strips in oil-filled transformer manufacturing.
Diamond Dotted Paper (DDP/DDP TU)
Insulating paper with diamond-shaped epoxy resin coating used as layer insulation in oil-filled transformers; TU version thermally stabilized.
Diamond Dotted Film (DDF)
Film with diamond-shaped epoxy resin coating, mainly for instrument transformers in the transformer and high-voltage sector.
Polyester film Mylar type A (PET)
Dimensionally stable, embossable PET film of thermal class B (130 °C) for slot insulation, cover boards and phase separators.
Press-span PET press-span laminate
Three-layer laminate with high dielectric strength and absorbent press-span surface for the impregnation process.
DMD laminate (Dacron-Mylar-Dacron)
Three-layer laminate of nonwoven and polyester film (0.15–0.45 mm) for thermal classes B and F, readily bondable with impregnating resins.
NPN laminate (Nomex-PET-Nomex)
Laminate of thermal class F (155 °C) in types NPN/50, /80 and /130, total thicknesses 0.17 to 0.63 mm.
NKN laminate (Nomex-Kapton-Nomex)
High-performance laminate of thermal class H (180 °C) with a Kapton core for thermally highly stressed motors and generators.
Nomex 410 aramid paper (DuPont)
Calendered aramid paper of thermal class H in thicknesses from 0.05 to 0.76 mm for virtually every insulation application.
Kapton HN polyimide film (DuPont)
High-performance film of thermal class C with no melting point for applications up to 400 °C.
Special materials (glass fiber laminate, PEEK, mica, nonwovens, prepregs)
Further materials that can be processed, including glass fiber laminate for slot closure wedges, PEEK films, mica tapes and polyester nonwovens.
