Engineering, EPC and corrosion protection from Bockenem

HAW Linings GmbH (trading name HAW Engineering) is a German engineering, EPC and corrosion protection company headquartered in Bockenem am Harz and part of the Jasmino Group. The company designs and manufactures pressure vessels, apparatuses, columns, tanks and pipework in accordance with AD 2000 or EN 13445, installs and commissions plants, and protects equipment through rubber linings, resin linings and coatings. In 1920, industrial rubber lining (vulcanised rubber on steel) was patented at the site. The 120,000 m² plant houses a 30,000 m² covered lining hall, Europe's largest vulcanisation autoclaves (vessels up to Ø 5,500 mm × 15,000 mm, 25 t) and a rail-connected tank wagon lining centre with its own rail siding and in-house quality laboratory. Manufacturing is carried out in carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, super duplex and special materials such as Hastelloy; single pieces up to 300 t are handled by the group's heavy fabrication plants. Customers come from chemicals, energy and flue gas cleaning, fertilisers, rail, water treatment, mining, green hydrogen, petrochemicals, oil and gas as well as pharma; the group has supplied projects in more than 40 countries.

Quality and certifications

Every lining is tested and documented from blasting (Sa 2.5, Rz 50–70 µm) through to acceptance: high-voltage spark testing from 15 kV, pull-off adhesion testing, ultrasonic layer thickness measurement at grid points, and complete traceability of material batches. The plant maintains its own quality laboratory with blend analysis.
