HAWEMA Werkzeugschleifmaschinen GmbH, based in Tuningen (Schwarzwald-Baar district), is a medium-sized company that develops, designs and distributes CNC tool grinding machines. The 5-axis machines of the HAWEMAT series serve the production and resharpening of cutting tools made of carbide, HSS and PCD – from end mills and step drills to micro milling and micro drilling tools in the diameter range of 0.2 to 10 mm. A characteristic feature is the granite construction: granite elements in the X, Y and B axes combined with full mineral casting columns provide high stiffness, low thermal drift and measuring-machine-like accuracy. The machines are operated with the NUM-Flexium+ CNC control and the NUMROTOplus® user software; optional loading and unloading systems enable fully automatic operation. With more than 1000 installed HAWEMAT machines in over 20 countries, HAWEMA supplies customers in the automotive, aerospace, medical and dental technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and woodworking sectors. European direct sales are handled from Tuningen; representatives serve the markets in China, Taiwan and Russia.
