Hawle Armaturen GmbH, based in Freilassing (Bavaria), is a manufacturer and sales company of valves for supply infrastructure. The product portfolio includes soft-sealing gate valves, butterfly valves, hydrants (above-ground and underground), fittings, pipe couplings, tapping valves, air valves, control valves, repair clamps as well as road covers and accessories for drinking water, gas, cold local heating networks and wastewater. The basis of many products is the invention patented by Hawle in 1957 of the soft-sealing gate valve with O-ring sealing of the valve spindle, which is today standard in drinking water and gas supply. The valves are made among other things from GJS-400 cast iron, stainless duplex steel, brass and elastomer components; plastic products use PE-HD, POM and polyurethane. In addition, Hawle Service GmbH offers inspection and maintenance of valves of all makes in accordance with the DVGW rulebook as well as application technology, CAD/BIM data and digital services. The sales territories of the German sales company are Germany and Luxembourg.

Hawle invents the soft-sealing gate valve with O-ring sealing of the valve spindle and files a patent application; later variants such as exchangeable, combi and PE-end gate valves are developed on this basis.
