Hayes Performance Systems is a US manufacturer of disc brake systems and precision components for applications outside the passenger car sector. Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Mequon, Wisconsin, the company develops and manufactures hydraulic and mechanical brake systems for bicycles, powersports vehicles (UTV, ATV, motorcycle, snowmobile), construction machinery, agricultural equipment, and municipal and turf care equipment. The product portfolio includes brake calipers, master cylinders, rotors, actuators and complete system solutions, including the patented iSAHR technology (Integrated Spring Apply Hydraulic Release) for parking-brake-capable systems with automatic wear adjustment. In addition to its own brands, Hayes offers Custom & Specialty solutions for OEM customers. The brand family includes, among others, Hayes, Manitou, Reynolds, SUNRinglé and ProTaper, and serves customers worldwide.

   The nine-member management team purchased Hayes Brake together with the private equity firm Nautic Partners and renamed the company HB Performance Systems Inc.
