Founded in 1947 and now run by the third generation of owners, HDC Huttelmaier GmbH is a specialist in machine overhauling and machine modernization of high-precision turning, milling and grinding machines. From its site in Schorndorf near Stuttgart, the company serves manufacturers in the metal industry across Europe and worldwide. Its range of services includes manufacturer-neutral retrofits covering more than 140 machine tool manufacturers, machine measurement to DIN standards, scraping, a spindle service for motor, grinding, turning and milling spindles, control system conversion, automation and machine data acquisition with an OPC-UA interface. In addition, the company offers CNC surface grinding as contract manufacturing – including guideways and machine beds up to 3,000 mm in length on a Waldrich machine – as well as new machine construction, special machine construction and the sale of machine tools, including its own KDSM-series ball turning and ball grinding machines for ball valves and ball taps.
