About Healium
Healium is a Swiss medtech start-up based in Lausanne that improves medication adherence in patients with complex and chronic treatments. The flagship product Medicase is a connected, portable medication dispensing device that holds up to ten medications in all formats via bulk filling, automatically portions them and dispenses the exact dose at the push of a button. Integrated sensors automatically detect medication intake and log it in real time in a companion app for relatives, caregivers and physicians, including intelligent escalation for missed doses and automatic report generation. The system combines IoT hardware with caregiver software while preserving patient autonomy. Prototypes were validated with CHUV, Unisanté and H4; a pilot with the Swiss homecare network AVASAD is agreed. Healium is an EPFL spin-off and is preparing certification as a Class IIa medical device.
