About HTPD
Heat Transfer and Process Design - HTPD is an engineering company founded in 2008 as a spin-off of the Institute of Energy and Process Engineering at the University of Paderborn, headquartered in Paderborn. The team of around 18 employees supports industry across the entire engineering process chain: from technology consulting and project management to concept development and plant planning, through to plant and process optimization, product development and research. Core competencies are planning, calculation and optimization in the fields of thermal, refrigeration, air-conditioning, energy and process engineering, including the design of heat exchangers, drying systems and refrigeration circuits. The service portfolio includes CFD and FEM simulations, 3D design (CATIA V5, PTC Creo, Autodesk Inventor), FMEA moderation, automation technology with PLC programming, as well as the construction and commissioning of pilot, laboratory-scale and test rigs. Customers come from automotive, plant engineering, mechanical engineering, process and energy technology, the chemical industry, appliance and building technology as well as industrial automation, including companies such as Manz AG, Li-Tec Battery, Daimler, SMS Demag, ThyssenKrupp, Linde Engineering, ABB and Lauda. Through a worldwide network, HTPD additionally supports customers with supplier sourcing, certification (CE, CSA, UL, IECEx, ATEX) and the marketing of developed products.
