About the Heckmann Unternehmensgruppe
The Heckmann Unternehmensgruppe is a medium-sized mechanical and plant engineering company with nine locations in the greater Bremen/Hannover area, Berlin, Frankfurt (Oder) as well as a plant in Krzeszyce, Poland, and around 550 employees. The starting point was the head office in Dörverden-Hülsen, where Heinz Heckmann founded the company in 1974 as a repair service business for the food industry. Today, the group manufactures custom machines, systems and components ranging from individual parts to turnkey complete systems including electrical engineering, primarily in stainless steel and steel. The range of services covers plant and special-purpose machinery construction, process engineering (dryers, reactors, autoclaves, mixers), pressure vessel and tank construction, steel construction, conveying technology, sheet metal processing, contract manufacturing (milling, turning, welding) and surface treatment in the company's own pickling plant. Customers come from industries such as food and pharmaceuticals, automotive, large pump manufacturing, the steel industry, power plants, chemicals, aerospace and shipbuilding. Sales extend to Europe, Asia and North America; the group is led in its second generation by Henning Heckmann.
