About Hegmann Transit

Hegmann Transit is a freight forwarding company founded in 1920 in Sonsbeck, now in the fourth generation of the Tietz family. With around 100 employees and more than 140 vehicle units, the company carries out oversized and heavy-load transports up to 400 tonnes with modular vehicles (SPMT) as well as multimodal transports by land, sea, air and rail. Its service portfolio includes logistics planning, project logistics, packing and stowage, handling and warehouse logistics, as well as value added services such as assembly, repairs and quality control. At the Wesel site, the subsidiary Schwerlast Terminal Niederrhein GmbH operates a heavy-cargo port with a 15,000 m² heavy-cargo hall, 35,000 m² of outdoor storage, a gantry crane with up to 160 t capacity and a 400 m quay with a direct Rhine connection.
