About Hegnacher Mühle
The Hegnacher Mühle in Waiblingen-Hegnach is a traditional grain mill on the banks of the Rems, located in the Unteres Remstal nature reserve. It sustainably mills regional grain – wheat, rye and spelt from the surrounding villages – using water power. The grain is turned into flour, semolina and sugar-free muesli blends. The range also includes baking mixes, edible grain, seeds, pulses, rice, pasta, dried fruit and bread-baking accessories. Since 1985 the mill has operated a farm shop; on Saturdays, mill bread and wholegrain bread are baked to order. The mill has been in operation for over 150 years and is the last along the Rems still in service. It also offers guided tours and presentations for groups as well as baking advice.
