About HEICO
The HEICO Group is a family business founded in 1900, now in its fourth generation, headquartered in Ense-Höingen (North Rhine-Westphalia) and consisting of HEICO Befestigungstechnik GmbH and HEICO Umformtechnik GmbH. The company manufactures customer-specific, drawing-based cold extruded parts as well as wedge lock washers, clamping nuts and upholstery nails. Production comprises cold bulk forming on multi-stage presses (wire ø 2–24 mm, part length up to 120 mm), semi-hot forming, machining, in-house heat treatment and surface finishing including electroplating. The high level of vertical integration with in-house toolmaking and special machine construction, a continuous process control system and a technical testing laboratory with bolted joint tests (including the Junker vibration test) shape its quality. Main customers are the automotive industry, including Audi, VW and BMW, as well as mechanical engineering, construction machinery and the furniture industry.

Materials & Processes
Steel
Base material for formed parts and fasteners, also as tempering steel for heat-treated parts.
Tempering steel
For highly stressed components with subsequent hardening and tempering.
Stainless steel
For corrosion-resistant cold-formed parts.
Aluminium
For lightweight cold extruded parts.
Copper
For conductive or ductile cold-formed parts.
Brass
For cold-formed parts as well as upholstery and logo nails.
Special materials and alloys
For customer-specific requirements.
Cold bulk forming / cold extrusion
Multi-stage presses with up to 6 stages, wire ø 2–24 mm, part length up to 120 mm.
Semi-hot forming
Complementary forming process on semi-hot forming machines.
Heat treatment
Annealing and induction hardening in-house; case hardening, hardening and tempering as well as carbonitriding externally.
Surface treatment
Own electroplating line: nickel plating, zinc plating, brass plating, copper plating, zinc flake, zinc-nickel, phosphating, plastic overmolding.
