Heidelberg Coatings Dr. Rentzsch GmbH is an owner-managed family business from Heidelberg that has been manufacturing paints, oils, hard wax oils, stains and waxes since 1952. The product range is aimed at industry, trade and craft businesses and is continuously developed further and adapted to current surface trends in the company's own development laboratory. The company produces water-based, environmentally friendly paints and stains as well as products based on natural raw materials; under the PROLiGNUM brand it offers wood paints and wood oils with a focus on sustainability. The solutions can be used on substrates such as wood, glass and plastic in areas such as kitchens, doors, floors, stairs as well as living and bedroom furniture. Every litre of paint is tested before delivery, and field service staff analyse machines and machine settings on site and advise on optimal application. The export share is around 40 %, primarily within Europe as well as to the Near and Far East and to South America. The company employs around 100 staff at its Heidelberg site.
